Death pool rules
Seven rules. No small print.
Fill your deathlist.
Each league sets how many slots you get (10 by default). Any living public figure with a Wikipedia page counts, as long as we know their exact birthday.
Dibs is dibs.
A person can be on only one deathlist per league, and whoever submits them first gets them. Hesitate and watch someone else cash in.
No take-backs.
An admin approves every pick. While it’s pending you can withdraw it. Once approved, it’s yours till death do you part.
Younger is worth more.
A death scores 120² − age² points, using their exact age to the day. Anyone who makes it past 120 has beaten the house: zero points.

Nominate one approved pick as your captain and an admin confirms it. While they’re still breathing, you can’t swap them. When they go, name a new one.
Deaths are confirmed, not rumoured.
We check Wikidata for a recorded date of death. No date, no points. Each death also opens a new slot on your list. That’s what your Bench is for: a private shortlist of understudies, waiting in the wings.

Tied? More deaths wins. Still tied? Share the podium, awkwardly.
